The Core Issues Trust is a British Christian organisation, which focuses on issues of homosexuality, both Christian and non-Christian. The group purports to offer therapy and counselling "to those seeking to change homosexual behaviour and feelings", that "we believe individuals have a right to self-determine sexual identity and behaviour and so reject the notion that people are born gay" and also say that "for some people homosexuality does not feel natural" and reject the notions of internalised homophobia and ego-dystonic sexual orientation. In April, 2012, the group received disparaging media coverage following a public campaign, which included advertisements on London buses claiming that therapy could change sexual orientation. Although the campaign was passed by the Committee of Advertising Practice, it was subsequently banned by London Mayor Boris Johnson.〔(Yahoo News - Gay Cure Bus Advert Banned )〕〔(The Guardian, April 13, 2012 - Boris Johnson bans 'gay cure' bus adverts )〕 The group's leader, Dr. Mike Davidson (who received his doctorate in education rather than medicine), defines himself as ex-gay,〔(High Court hears 'ex-gay' ad ban 'a political issue' )〕 and defines homosexuality as a "developmental aberration". His work with Core Issues Trust has been considered "deluded", "inflammatory, homophobic and harmful".〔 == See also == *Homosexuality and Christianity *Conversion therapy 抄文引用元・出典: フリー百科事典『 ウィキペディア(Wikipedia)』 ■ウィキペディアで「Core Issues Trust」の詳細全文を読む スポンサード リンク
